The enucleation of pancreatic IMTs may be a safe and efficient surgical method for managing such tumors with a better prognosis. On the first day after surgery, the patient had abdominal distension and abdominal pain. Abdominal enhanced computed tomography revealed intestinal obstruction, severe stenosis of the superior mesenteric artery, and poor distal angiography. An exploratory laparotomy was performed, and pathological examination showed hemorrhagic ileal infarction. It was subsequently found that the patient had intestinal flatulence. With the guidance of an ultrasound scan, the patient underwent abdominal puncture, drainage, and catheterization. After 58 d of treatment, the patient was discharged from hospital with a National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score of 2 points, and a Modified Rankin Scale score of 1 point. At the 6-mo follow-up, the patient had an excellent functional outcome without stroke or mesenteric ischemia. Due to PAPA heterogeneous clinical manifestation, misdiagnosis or delayed diagnoses are difficult to avoid. With the use of whole-exome sequencing, we identified a missense mutation in the<br />gene in a Chinese family. The patient had a previous history of combined radical prostatectomy and ADT for prostate cancer 7 years prior. He received total pelvic exenteration for a recurrent pelvic carcinosarcoma. Pathology and immunostaining revealed a carcinosarcoma of prostatic origin with focal spindled cells and bizarre giant cells. The patient subsequently underwent transverse colostomy for carcinosarcoma recurrence and bowel obstruction 3 mo later. Misdiagnosis of ruptured intracranial aneurysms is a serious clinical event that may have disastrous consequences in some patients. To date, ruptured intracranial aneurysms have been misdiagnosed as meningitis, tumors, stroke, or trauma, among other conditions. Here, we report what appears to be the first case of a ruptured intracranial aneurysm that presented as cerebral circulation insufficiency.<br />A middle-aged man was admitted to our hospital because of a parasellar lesion identified on a noncontrast computed tomography (CT) image after a mild traffic accident that was caused by a brief loss of consciousness. Notably, he was diagnosed with cerebral circulation insufficiency after two unexplained episodes of a transient loss of consciousness within the past 8 mo. The patient was diagnosed with right internal carotid artery aneurysm based on CT angiography and completely recovered after a craniotomy at our hospital. However, the efficacy and safety of NAC in the treatment of resectable colorectal liver metastases (CRLM) are still controversial.<br />To assess the efficacy and application value of NAC in patients with resectable CRLM.<br />We searched PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library from inception to December 2020 to collect clinical studies comparing NAC with non-NAC. Data processing and statistical analyses were performed using Stata V.15.0 and Review Manager 5.0 software.<br />In total, 32 studies involving 11236 patients were included in this analysis. We divided the patients into two groups, the NAC group (that received neoadjuvant chemotherapy) and the non-NAC group (that received no neoadjuvant chemotherapy). The meta-analysis outcome showed a statistically significant difference in the 5-year overall survival and 5-year disease-free survival between the two groups.
