The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft
Upgrades are new items that boost your stats. You can upgrade your armor weapons, trinkets and weapons with these.

Armor

Upgrade your equipment to increase the damage, your endurance and overall power. For instance, if you have new Benthic gear from the War Within Mythic Dungeon, it will be at level 385 by default. It can be upgraded to a higher level by using [Prismatic Manapearls]. Upgrades for PvE gear are available across all accounts, while upgrades for PvP gear require a specific currency, such as [Valorstones or [Harbinger Crests[Harbinger Crests]. The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade additional gear in an armor slot decreases following the first upgrade.
Weapons
Weapons are a key component of any successful character, whether they're employed to deter the murderous creature, slay an intruder, win a shooting contest or simply hang on a wall. It isn't a matter of how you plan to use the weapon. It is able to be upgraded and will change with your playstyle as time goes on.
Upgrading weapons can be accomplished by visiting a blacksmith shop that has a Weapon Workbench.
