G6PD deficiency-related mutations, consistent monitoring of G6PD deficiency is needed.
Telemedicine improves access to health care services enabling remote care diagnosis and treatment of patients at a distance. However, the implementation of telemedicine services often pose challenges stemming from the lack of attention to change management (CM). Health care practitioners and researchers agree that successful telemedicine services require significant organizational and practice change. Despite recognizing the importance of the "people-side" of implementation, research on what constitutes best practice CM strategies for telemedicine implementations remains fragmented, offering little cohesive insight into the specific practices involved in the change process. We conducted a systematic scoping review of the literature to examine what and how CM practices have been applied to telemedicine service implementation, spanning a variety of health care areas and countries.
Three bibliographic databases (CINAHL, PubMed, and ISI Web of Science) and four specialist telehealth journals were searched. Ton of telemedicine may be due to a piecemeal approach to the change process, and a lack of understanding of how to plan, manage and reinforce change when implementing telemedicine services.
Infertility is an emerging socioeconomic issue affecting an individual's life and the nation. However, only few studies have examined the influence of resilience on the quality of life (QoL) of spouses as actors and partners. Hence, this study aimed to analyze the influence of resilience, a positive factor that infertile couples may have, on QoL using the actor-partner interdependence model (APIM).
By the analyses of couples' data, we analyzed the effect of resilience on the QoL of infertile couples as actors and partners. This cross-sectional study included 150 infertile couples. The Fertility Quality of Life and Resilience Scale was used to measure couples' QoL and resilience. APIM was applied to analyze QoL.
In terms of actor effects, the resilience of both wives (β = 0.201, p < 0.001) and husbands (β = 0.713, p < 0.001) had a significant effect on individual QoL. With regard to partner effects, husbands' resilience (β = 0.351, p < 0.001) had a significant impact on wives' QoL and the wives' resilience (β = 0.219, p = 0.009) had a significant impact on husbands' QoL.
The resilience of an infertile actor was found to affect both his/her own QoL and his/her partner's QoL. In the future, if a program is to be developed to improve couples' QoL, both spouses should work together to improve their resilience, thereby improving their QoL.

Cancer incidence and mortality in sub-Saharan Africa are increasing and do account for significant premature death. The expertise of health care providers is critical to downstaging cancer at diagnosis and improving survival in low- and middle-income countries. We set out to determine the training needs of health care providers for a comprehensive oncology services package in selected hospitals in Uganda, in order to inform capacity development intervention to improve cancer outcomes in the East African region.
This was a cross-sectional survey using the WHO Hennessey-Hicks questionnaire to identify the training needs of health workers involved in cancer care, across 22 hospitals in Uganda. Data were captured in real time using the Open Data Kit platform from which the data was exported to Stata version 15 for analysis using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test and Somers-Delta.
There were 199 respondent health professionals who were predominately female (146/199, 73.37%), with an average age of 38.97 years. T programme content, peer support networks and tailored training for the individual health care provider.
Although recent studies have indicated that intestinal microbiota dweller are involved in the pathogenesis of allergy rhinitis (AR), the influence of gut microbiota on AR adult has not been fully elucidated yet. Hence, we carried out this study to uncover the distinctive bacterial taxa that differentiate allergy rhinitis patients from healthy individuals. Feces samples from thirty three AR patients and thirty one healthy individuals were analyzed by 16S rRNA gene sequencing.
Results showed that the bacterial diversity in AR group was significantly higher than that of the non-AR group. Bacterial communities between AR and non-AR group were significantly differentiated as revealed by Principal coordinates analysis (PCoA) and the variation within non-AR were higher than that of the counterpart. GC7 Firmicutes, Fusobacteria, Actinobacteria, Cyanobacteria and Chloroflexi were the significantly differed phyla taxa and the top significantly distinguished bacterial genus included Prevotella_9, Phascolarctobacterium, fferent symptoms of AR. In conclusion, patients with allergy rhinitis had distinguished gut microbiota characteritics in comparison with healthy controls. The results suggest that gut microbiota might play crucial roles in influencing the course and different symptoms of AR. Trial registration ChiCTR, ChiCTR1900028613. To assess whether Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) is provided equitably across gender and social groups in a tertiary care setting.
OPAT is a widely used and growing approach in high income countries to early discharge or admission avoidance for patients requiring intravenous antimicrobials. There is however a risk that equitable access to healthcare could be eroded unintentionally by expansion of outpatient or ambulatory approaches such as this. Anecdotal evidence in our service, and from published studies, have identified a gender and social group equity gap in outpatient services.
Service data on inpatient cellulitis episodes over a seven-year period were matched to OPAT referral data to create a retrospective cross-sectional linked dataset. All individuals admitted from 2012 to 2017 inclusive for a primary diagnosis of cellulitis were included 6295 admissions of 4944 individuals. Demographics, number of co-morbidities, length of hospital stay, number of admissions, distance from OPAT unit and Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD; as a metric of deprivation) were recorded.
