Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrades to gear increase its base stats and sometimes enhances its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by the levels of gear, their requirements, and how many random augmentations are made available.
For example, the elite racial shield Razortail is often upgraded to enhance its lightning absorb capability in PvP or to add additional defenses on missile based builds in PvM. This makes it more exchangeable than the un-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens let you buy a new item, like a weapon, armor or ring. The item is replaced with an identical item however with different bonuses. Reroll tokens are a cost-effective option to upgrade equipment. However, they do not retain the level of the original item and any resources wasted won't be compensated for.
Reroll tokens can be obtained by survivors by a variety of means such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in crates and chests, or purchased from the store for 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to change the attribute of a piece equipment for example, increasing its damage.
Players can reroll their equipment using three aspects that include physical power, magical power and health. Upgrades to physical power increase damage from weapons and melee attack, while upgrades to spell power increase the damage of mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades give the player an extra health.
Three types of reroll tokens are available such as upgrade rare, legendary and rare. Each upgrade elevates the item to higher quality. To produce them, you require a higher-quality token to reroll. Upgrades with enhanced capabilities require a common item, rare upgrades require a special or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
The marker that rerolls, unlike special tokens or markers placed on action spaces remains on the space until the next success is being rerolled. This lets you avoid wasting upgrades.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the start of each Preparation Phase, and are opened by grabbing them using Interact. When item upgrading are opened they will display a complete description and an icon for the corresponding Appliance or Ingredient. The restaurant's shop can trade blueprints for a brand new appliance or ingredient for an amount of money.
This means that you can move blueprints between the Staple Pool (which is the default pool) and the Non-staple Pool during a run. This affects the blueprints that the restaurant's shop offers to reroll and which are available in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to improve weapons, armor and accessories. These stones are special stones that increase the level of an item by improving its stats or attributes. These items can be obtained by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell these stones for a cost. Additionally, players can acquire these stones by completing daily contracts.
To upgrade gear, the player must first locate the item and then click the "level up button". This will display a menu that shows the item's current status and what it will be when being leveled up as well as the necessary amount of Growth Stones to do so. The number of Growth Stones required to upgrade the gear will depend on its rarity. Typically rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas rare armor requires just one green or blue Growth Stone.
After deciding on the item to upgrade, the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay for the cost. Once the requirements are met, the player can then click on the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item. This will raise the item's level by a specific percentage. The upgrade process can last anywhere from seconds to several minutes, based on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process also is risk-free and will not affect the item's longevity. upgrade item makes the system an excellent method for players to get a significant advantage in combat without straining their bank account. By clicking on the "transfer tab" players can transfer their experience and progress of an upgraded piece of gear onto a new piece of gear.
The process of acquiring Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty can be daunting for novice players. There are a variety of ways to obtain them, including signing contracts and buying them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, collecting them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from the reward chests of the Ancient Arena season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is an optional feature that allows players to increase the base stats of weapons armor, helms and trinkets. It is accomplished by adding upgrade components at the Upgrade Station and paying a cost of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade components will be consumed and the item will gain a higher level. This process can be repeated until the highest level for an item has been attained.
Items with upgraded stats will be displayed as a blue icon beside their slot. Contrary to enchantments upgrade components cannot be stacked with one another, and can only be added to one item at a time. Each upgrade component requires an amount of items, as well as a minimum level of equipment.
The Upgrade Station has two slots: the first is where players can put in a piece of equipment that they wish to upgrade, and the right shows a preview of what the gear will appear like when it reaches its next level. When the player has enough items, pressing the yellow arrow will initiate the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment may be upgraded up to five times. Each time the item is upgraded, its base stats will increase by a small percentage. The highest level for an item is 19.
When an item reaches its maximum level, its upgrades will not be available to it. In the same way, once an item reaches the level of a specific upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer) upgrades to that track will have discounted prices.
Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can be inserted into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to give an additional bonus or effect while the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, looted, or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so will damage the previous upgrade, excluding for glyphs which can be removed and replaced freely.
Requirements
Upgrades to items give players the ability to boost certain stats on armor and weapons that they currently own. The requirements for upgrading an item differ based on the item type, but typically you'll need Dilithium as well as a few Upgrade Tokens (various options available).
The items can be upgraded by adding upgrade components to equipment and weapons. This gives them additional effects or an increase in quality of the item. The upgrades can be acquired through a variety of sources in the game, including crafting, purchased from the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses and raids, or dropped from dungeons. Once an upgrade component is added to an item, it cannot be removed and changed without restriction, however, the glyphs used in gathering tools can be swapped out without restriction.
Upgrades can increase the Mark Level of an item or Rarity. Certain upgrade components have additional modifiers that can boost the stats of the item.
For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" increases base defense and adds an extra 20% chance to block. In addition the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases weapon damage.
Certain items are better off being upgraded less for their increased stats, but because it allows players to gain the most value from a perfect roll on the item. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for instance is highly sought-after by the melee PvP communities and can be worth 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.
If you choose an upgrade component to slot into an item, the game will display an open window that displays the requirements required for that item. The game will display the requirements required when you select an upgrade component to slot into an item.
The game will place an item in your inventory when you've met the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will then change to show you how close to getting the upgrade completed. You can also check the status of an upgrade by visiting any NPC that upgrades items.
