We introduce our horrible experience of lateral semicircular canal exposure due to unintended drilling during left facial nerve decompression. Nearly half of the canal was drilled-out, however, the membranous labyrinth was preserved and the defect was covered with temporal fascia. Immediately after surgery, the patient complained of vertigo with right beating nystagmus. However, the patient could hear an audible tuning fork sound and the Weber-test showed left-sided deviation. The vertigo gradually subsided and the facial palsy was completely recovered 3 months after the surgery. One and half years later, the patient spent a normal life with normal hearing nevertheless after this terrifying episode.
To investigate and evaluate the clinical features of patients infected with the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outside of Wuhan.
105 patients admitted to our hospital with clinical- and laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 infection were studied. Data were collected from January 17, 2020 to March 5,2020.
105 patients (57 male and 48 female) were confirmed to have COVID-19 infection. Among the 105 patients, 55 (52%) had made short trips to Wuhan during the two weeks before the onset of illness, and these were the first-generation confirmed cases. An exact date of close contact with someone in Wenzhou with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 infection from Wuhan (the second-generation confirmed cases) could be provided by 38 (36%) patients. Of the remaining patients, six (6%; the third-generation confirmed cases) were familial clusters of the second-generation confirmed cases, three (3%) had no definite epidemiological features, and 16 (15%) were from the same location as for the case report.
Due to the infectiousness of COVID-19, patients with infections should be diagnosed and treated as early as possible after developing fever symptoms or showing other clinical characteristics or imaging features. With respect to high-risk cases, we must focus on any complications that arise and take effective measures to treat them immediately. This will significantly improve the prognosis of patients with severe infections.

In January of 2015, New York (NY) implemented a new policy, Nurse Practitioners Modernization Act, which removed the required written practice agreement between physicians and experienced nurse practitioners (NPs).
We examined NP work environment in NY before (2012) and after (2018) the implementation of the new policy.
Cross-sectional survey data on work environments were collected from NPs in NY in 2012 and 2018. Work environment was measured with the Nurse Practitioner Primary Care Organizational Climate Questionnaire. In 2012, 278 and in 2018, 348 NPs completed the tool. Regression analyses were used to examine the relationship between the study year and work environment.
Controlling for individual and organizational characteristics, NPs reported significantly better work environments in 2018. Positive changes were observed both for experienced and less experienced NPs.
Removing state-level policy restrictions on NPs may promote a better work environment within health care organizations.

Hence, for the first time, we propose an eco-friendly and facile synthesis methodology synthesize water-soluble Co9S8 quantum dots (QDs) derived from commercial cobalt disulfide (CoS2), which can serve as excellent co-catalysts to dramatically enhance the decomposition rate of H2O2. It is demonstrated that the conversion rate of H2O2 into •OH is ca. 80.02% promoted by Co9S8 QDs, whereas the conventional Fenton process is ca. 34.9%. PP242 The result shows that unsaturated edged S atoms on the surface of Co9S8 play a pivotal role in this enhancement, where the number of protons will react with sulfur atoms to form H2S and expose reductive metallic active sites to accelerate the Fe3+/Fe2+ conversion. In addition, to tackle the issue for difficult recovery of liquid quantum dots, the magnetic Co9S8 QDs/Fe3O4 nanoparticles are particularly synthesized, which show excellent performance for degradation of 20 mg/L Rhodamine B (RhB). Moreover, the TOC degradation rate can remain stable at 80% even after five cycles. It is expected that this work will provide a new pathway of thinking in the Fenton process and impulse the usage of liquid quantum dots in practical AOPs application. This work was carried out to devise a feasible alternative to remove cationic dyes from industrial wastewater. A nanomixture of (TiO2-SnO2-Al2O3) cooperating with Hydroxyapatite (HAp) nanorods was synthesized in this regard as a catalyst to degrade Rhodamine B (RhB) dye from aqueous medium. The physicochemical properties of the hydrothermally prepared Hydroxyapatite Nano Mixture (HNM) were revealed through XRD, FESEM, TEM, XPS, FTIR, BET-BHJ, UV-Vis, and Raman spectroscopy techniques. The synthesized material which was found to be nanorods of average crystallite size 12.53 nm and BET Specific Surface area 60.81 m2 g-1 proved to be very effective for the removal of RhB at various pH conditions (acid, basic, and neutral). Maximum removal of 97% was achieved within 30 min of UV irradiation using 5 ppm RhB in acidic medium while at a higher concentration (20 ppm), it takes just 90 min to achieve 98% degradation of RhB under the same reaction conditions. A further catalytic potential of the prepared nanomixture for hydrogen (H2) evolution via water splitting was explored where 129.
