Patient was discharged in the second post operative (PO). JJ stent was removed after 1 month. A 3 month PO pyelography was performed, showing no fistula and resolution of the stricture. Twelve months after surgery, the patient was painless with symptom resolution. The use of gonadal vein as a graft for ureteral strictures is a new possible approach, although more cases are necessary to evaluate its results.

All patients with histologically confirmed Wilms tumors with intravascular thrombus diagnosed in the pediatric oncology unit of Tata Memorial Hospital registered from 2006 to 2019 were included. Data regarding clinical, radiological, and surgical particulars were retrieved from the prospectively maintained institutional database. Specific data for the thrombus included distal extent before and after neoadjuvant chemotherapy, correlation of extent with the surgical findings, completedings of this study bring forth the characteristics of intravascular tumor thrombus affecting the outcomes which can be validated in future prospective studies. Although several explanations for this feature have been considered, its functional significance has remained puzzling. However, several recent reports have promoted the idea that ligand-receptor binding promiscuity and competition are critical features of the TGF-β family that provide an essential regulating function. Namely, they allow a cell to read and process multi-ligand inputs. Here, we review the molecular basis for ligand competition, with emphasis on molecular structures and binding affinities. We give an overview of methods that were used to establish experimentally ligand competition. Finally, we discuss how the concept of ligand competition may be fundamentally tied to human physiology, disease, and therapy.
