The aim of this study was to develop and validate a stepwise tool to aid primary health care professionals in the process of deprescribing potentially inappropriate medication in older persons.
We carried out a systematic review to identify previously published tools. A composite proposal of algorithm was made by following the steps from clinical experience to deprescribe medications. A 2-round electronic Delphi method was conducted to establish consensus. Eighteen experts from different countries (Colombia, Spain and Argentina) accepted to be part of the panel representing geriatricians, internists, endocrinologist, general practitioners, pharmacologists, clinical pharmacists, family physicians and nurses. Panel members were asked to mark a Likert Scale from 1 to 9 points (1= strongly disagree, 9= strongly agree). The content validity ratio, item-level content validity, and Fleiss' Kappa statistics was measured to establish reliability. The same voting method was used for round 2.

The success of encouraging dietary shifts, however, crucially hinges on people, and more specifically on consumers' culture, context, socioeconomic status, food environment, attitudes, perceptions, beliefs, and behavior towards food choice. In India, enhanced food availability and accessibility do not readily lead to improved nutritional status. Thus, developing planetary health diets in India requires an understanding of systemic drivers of food choice. Food is an essential part of Indian culture and deeply rooted to the country's history, traditions, lifestyles, and customs. Yet, the diversity and cultural drivers of food choice are still insufficiently understood. To address this knowledge gap, we use expert elicitation to contextualize the "gastronomic systems research" framework to a target population of low-to middle-income households to capture the diversity and cultural drivers of food choice and its nutritional implications in rice-based diets in two states in eastern India. The experts catalogued 131 unique dishes associated with five differentiated daily dining occasions. The majority of dishes belong to the starch food group. Morning snacks exhibit the lowest nutritional diversity while dinners feature the highest diversity in both states. In West Bengal, dish options tend to be carbohydrate-rich and energy-dense, and a significant number of dishes are fried and oily. The gastronomic system mapped by the experts provides a useful baseline for nutritionists, policymakers, and food system actors as a first step in the design of nutrition intervention strategies to develop planetary health diets in eastern India.Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection has rapidly spread worldwide from the beginning of 2020. The method relies on the addition of Proteinase K followed by a controlled heat-shock incubation and, then, E gene evaluation by RT-qPCR. It was validated for sensitivity, specificity, linearity, reproducibility, and precision. It detects as low as 10 viral copies/sample, is rapid, and has been characterized in 60 COVID-19-infected patients. Compared to automated extraction methods, our pretreatment guarantees the same positivity rate with the advantage of shortening the time of the analysis and reducing its cost. Hot melt extrusion (HME) has demonstrated to be an adequate compounding method for poorly-soluble pharmaceutical drugs, as it increases its solubility by fixing its amorphous solid-state using polymers (plasticizing) and other ingredients (non- plasticizing). However, it's amorphous state of the drug and the stability of the amorphous state will greatly depend on its interactions with these (plasticizing or not).
In this study, we aimed at characterizing the impact of the combination of plasticizing (TPGS) and anti-plasticizing (PVP) ingredients in amorphous celecoxib prepared using HME in terms of chemical interactions between the components (FTIR, Raman and NMR), viscoelasticity (loss and storage modulus) and required energy for flow (activation energy). Different celecoxib/PVP/TPGS ratios were studied to understand the synergistic effect of PVP and TPGS in inhibiting the crystallization of celecoxib when preparing amorphous dispersions using HME. We aimed at linking the viscoelastic properties of the mue to efficient mixing using HME.

Climate data obtained from aWhere, an agricultural weather data platform (http//www.awhere.com) was analysed with 14,367 first lactation test day milk records of 3511 dairy cows collected between 2016 and 2019. THI was calculated from daily maximal temperatures and daily minimum humidity. Three sets of analysis were performed. In the first and second analysis, two mixed effect repeatability models were fitted with THI treated as a categorical variable grouped into 5 classes (THI1= [61 - 66], THI2= [67 - 71], THI3= [72 - 78], THI4=[79 - 81], THI5=[82 - 86]), to obtain least squares estimates of THI effect on milk production, and as a continuous variable within THI classes to identify THI thresholds at which milk yield started to decline.
