However, its functional role in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) remains largely unknown. In this study, we conducted expressional and functional analyses of FOXD2-AS1 using data from the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and in vitro OSCC assays. FOXD2-AS1 dysregulation was remarkably associated with radiation therapy, anatomic location, high histologic grade, and lymphovascular invasion (P less then 0.05). A nomogram based on FOXD2-AS1 expression was constructed for use as a diagnostic indicator for OSCC patients, and multivariate cox regression analysis showed that FOXD2-AS1 expression was an independent prognostic factor for OSCC patients. KEGG, gene set enrichment analysis, and immune infiltration evaluations indicated that FOXD2-AS1 was involved in tumor progression via epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition and cell cycle regulation and was negatively associated with mast cell, DCs, iDCs, and B cells. FOXD2-AS1 silencing suppressed the proliferation and migration of Cal27 cells. Our findings showed that an aberrantly high FOXD2-AS1 expression predicts poor prognosis in OSCC; FOXD2-AS1 may act as an oncogenic protein by regulating cell proliferation and migration and may suppress adaptive immunity by modulating the number and function of antigen-presenting cells.
Programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) is considered an adverse factor predicting poor prognosis in various cancers, but the significance of PD-L1 expression for the prognosis of prostate cancer (PCa) is still unclear. We aimed to investigate the clinicopathological significance and prognostic value of PD-L1 expression in PCa.
Studies were retrieved from PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library and Embase before March 23, 2020. Odds ratios (ORs) and hazard ratios (HRs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were obtained to assess the results. Begg's test was applied to evaluate publication bias.
Fourteen studies involving 3133 cases were analyzed. The pooled data showed that both PD-L1 protein expression and PD-L1 DNA methylation (mPD-L1) were negatively associated with biochemical recurrence-free survival, with HRs of 1.67 (95% CI = 1.38-2.06,

The pooled hazard ratios (HRs) for prognostic data were calculated and analyzed using Stata software. A total of 2326 patients pooled from 25 eligible studies were included in the meta-analysis to evaluate the prognostic value of ctDNA in pancreatic cancer. Patients with mutations detected or high concentrations of ctDNA had a significantly poorer overall survival (OS) (univariate HR = 2.54; 95% CI, 2.05-3.14; multivariate HR = 2.07; 95% CI, 1.69-2.54) and progression-free survival (PFS) (univariate HR = 2.18; 95% CI, 1.41-3.37; multivariate HR = 2.20; 95% CI, 1.38-3.52). In conclusion, the present meta-analysis indicates that mutations detected or high concentrations of ctDNA are significant predictors of OS and PFS in patients with pancreatic cancer.
